A LITTLE ABOUT ME
HI! I’m Melanie Walburg, Mortgage Broker Owner and Senior Loan Originator at Destiny Mortgage. I was born & raised in Georgia, but lived in Germany as a young adult. My first child/son was born in Nuremburg. I entered the mortgage profession in 1995 learning from those around me, and soaking up as much knowledge as possible. I quickly learned that the mortgage industry, like many industries, is riddled with corporate greed. So, in 2005 I left a comfortable job to start my own company. I opened Destiny Mortgage Lending in June of 2005 with my main focus being: To ensure that all home buyers/borrowers are treated fairly by obtaining the best loan terms possible, and NOT BE RIPPED OFF, while also having a headache-free loan process! I strive to be as accessible as possible, and provide great communication throughout the approval and closing process.
Personally: I’ve been married to my best friend Ron for 30+ years. My son Brad is winding down his final years in the Air Force but has climbed the ranks, and I could not be prouder of him. My two step-sons and their families are a pure joy to be around! Our daughter is in college at UNG studying criminal justice. In my spare time, I like hanging out with my husband, talking for hours, and enjoying each other’s company.
